'Swa'-Roopwardhinee was founded in the year 1979, by Late Shri K L Patwardhan. He was an educationist and had retired as a Head Master of a school in Pune.
We are dedicated for enrichment of talented young, intelligent and capable children of the society without any discretion of caste, color and creed. This is an humble effort of integrated development of students mainly from socially, economically weaker sections of the society. It is a place where future leaders are continually nurtured. Living by example character, spirituality, respect and compassion for others are the values we strive for in every aspect of the organization.
Since inception the trust is running number of informal educational activities /projects .At present the following projects are carried out; along with the above referred project, without any government grant or aid.
- Vocational Training Courses for needy women
- Mobile Laboratory project
- Montessori School [Pakoli]
- Coaching Centre for Competitive Examination
- Self Help Groups
- Self Study Centre
Every year the estimated expenditure is around 83 lakh on our various projects. Your donations, time, references etc., will support Wardhinee's vital work in making a lasting difference to children's lives.
Funds raised by Wardhinee are used exactly for the purpose for which they were raised in the first place. Wardhinee's financial transactions are transparent and almost 80 % of funds go directly to programs and the remaining goes into administration and other charges. Hence, we would appeal to you to support us in any form possible and motivate us in this noble cause. Also we would request you to visit our campus/work happening around in different parts of the city and experience for yourself the reality and the need.
